ABOUT US

Birth and Growth of Chrisco Church Athi River

In 1991, the Lord spoke to Prophet Muna saying, “The work you have in Kawangware will have a church in Ngong. When you reach Ngong, don’t go over the hills but turn to your left facing Athi River, which flows through the Kamba lands and into the Indian Ocean.”
Following this word, Chrisco Kawangware was birthed in 1994, and Chrisco Church Athi River was born on 19th October 2003.
The work began from a humble beginning as a house fellowship run by Sister Jedidah Ndunda. Later, the house fellowship was joined by Pastor James Nganga and his wife, who were sent by Presbyter Fred Muna, the district bishop. The Athi River house fellowship then transitioned into a church in 2003 under the leadership of Pastor James Nganga.

OUR FEATURE

Prophet Muna Calling & Ministry

Prophet Muna’s prophetic ministry came in 1979. This call was confirmed by the man of God Apostle Harry Das and Mama Das. One evening while visiting them in their house, Apostle H. Das spoke to Prophet Muna and said, “Many people think you are an Evangelist but you are called to be a Prophet.”

From that point he submitted to Apostle and Mama Das for discipleship, observation, training and rose to the office of a Prophet. After 21 years of observation and training, Prophet F. Muna was ordained as a Prophet in the year 2000 at Nyayo National Stadium by Apostle & Mama Das. He would at the same time be set as a prophetic voice over the nation of Kenya.

Several Prophetic Words that Define the nature of His Divine Assignment

There are 7 Prophetic words that Prophet F. Muna carried in his life and that defined the nature of his divine assignment:

Sent to the nations

“Arise, go prophesy to the Nations, and no one incensed against you can escape my hand.” (1979)

Sent to heal the sick

“I raised you that I may heal the sick of my people and by you, I the Lord, will bring great joy to the families.” (1991)

Sent to remove the prince

“This is the prince that rules over Kawangware, return that I may remove him.” (1991)

Sent to Kawangware and Ngong

“The work you have in Kawangware will have another work in Ngong, when you get there do not go over the Ngong hills but move as the River Athi River flows.” (1991 & 1993)

Commanded to build an altar

The prophecy of the man of God the man of God Apostle Das in April 1994;
• Concerning Men “The Lord will raise 10 men in this place (out of this place), 7 of whom will be known all over this Nation (Kenya).
• Concerning Families “The Lord will bring couples in this place, heal them and restore families”
• Concerning the Choir “The Lord will raise a great and mighty anointed choir out of this place”

Making the Pool

“Make for me a pool and pools of the water of the Spirit for the drinking of my people in Kenya. “ (1994)

Starting work in Kawangware

“Brother Muna, Kawangware is ripe, go and start work there.” Apostle H. Das. (September 1993)
