The Administrative Wing is the backbone of the operations at Chrisco Church Athi River that sees that all the departments, ministries, and leadership functions operate with excellence, order and accountability. In handling official correspondence, membership records and church records, to scheduling and helping the pastor in his leadership, this team develops the mechanisms that enable ministry to thrive- the biblical call that all things be done decently and in order (1 Corinthians 14:40).
The Catering and Hospitality Ministry is an extension of the love of God into the practical work of the Body of Christ by preparing and serving meals, refreshments, and warm welcome to all guests, ministers and families that enter our doors in the spirit of Romans 12:13: Practice hospitality.
The Choir Ministry takes the congregation into the presence of God with anointed worship, prophetic praise and musical excellence in nurturing those who are called to become vocalists and instrumentalists, minister with spiritual fire and technical ability in the congregation, that they may make a joyful noise unto the Lord (Psalm 100:1).
The Cleaning Ministry reveres God by keeping the church in a clean, hygienic, and orderly state as a worship service and stewardship- performing diligently before, during, and after each service and event, making sure that the house of God is always presentable, dignified, and ready to receive His people and His presence since it is true that whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might
The Décor Department beautifies, worships and celebrates the sanctuary and church areas - the design and installation of flower arrangements, altar adornments and the development of themes of Sunday worship, conferences, weddings and special events such that the physical appearance of Chrisco Church tells of the glory and supremacy of the God we worship.
The Evangelism Department serves the Great Commission by witnessing the unsaved to Christ through door-to-door evangelism, open-air evangelism, community outreach, and online platforms and then sustaining discipleship to ensure each new believer is well-established and well-integrated into the life of the church, in obedience to Matthew 28:19: Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.
The Finance and Treasury Department takes charge of the financial affairs of the church with integrity, transparency, and accountability - receiving, counting, recording, and banking all the tithes, offerings, and donations and compiling budgets, financial statements and audits so as to make sure that every resource entrusted to the church is handled with faithfulness and purpose toward the advancement of the Kingdom of God as will be expected of all the stewards
The prayer arm of Chrisco Church Athi River is the Intercessory and Deliverance Department the organizer and maintenance of a culture of passionate, spirit directed intercession by prayer watches, fasting programs, overnight prayer retreats and deliverance ministry to those in need of spiritual freedom, the very vision that Chrisco was founded upon: to major in intercession in the New Testament pattern.
Instruments, Equipment & Sound Department provides technical excellence to all services and events: managing, operating, and maintaining all musical instruments, sound systems, and audiovisual equipment to ensure that worship is easily heard, the Word is declared powerfully, and the overall experience of any congregant and online viewer is never impaired by a technical malfunction, in the spirit of the call to Psalm 150 to praise Him with every instrument.
The Media & communications department shares the gospel and the story of Chrisco church with the world via livestreaming, videography, photography, graphic design, social media, and digital content - working towards 2025 with the goal of increasing the cumulative number of viewers of Chrisco church across all platforms to 5,600 to 10,000 online service attendees per Sunday, and ensuring that all Sunday services were profession
The Men Department- Men of Purpose Ministry- trains and empowers men of all ages to grow spiritually, to become godly leaders and servants of the Kingdom through fellowship meetings, bible studies, mentoring, marriage and fatherhood seminars, and outreach projects, which help them to become strong men shaping up strong families that serve the church community.
The Mercy Ministry, also sometimes called the Dorcas Ministry, is a practical expression of the mercy of Christ being shown to the poor, the sick, widows, orphans and vulnerable people in the society by visiting hospitals and homes, giving out food and clothing, counselling, prison outreach and emergency relief, making sure that Chrisco Church is not just a place to worship but a real source of hope and help to the people of Athi River
The Protocol Department upholds dignity, honour, and excellence in all church operations and official affairs - receiving and escorting visiting ministers, making arrangements in regard to VIPs, directing leadership during the church service, and helping in the ceremony like ordinations, weddings, and anniversaries, maintaining discipline, courtesy and professionalism in the performance of duties.
The Sunday School Department - Children Ministry - provides a firm spiritual basis in the lives of the most youthful members of our congregation by means of imaginative Bible storytelling, memorized Bible verses, age-related praise and worship, craftwork, and holiday Bible clubs, which brings children into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and in association with parents to see the faith continue to thrive at home, based on Proverbs 22:6
The Teaching Department Christian Education and Discipleship Ministry is a dedicated body that teaches sound biblical doctrine and trains believers to grow in knowledge, walk in truth, and serve efficiently in the Body of Christ through Bible study groups, new believer classes, discipleship workshops, doctrinal seminars and one-on-one mentoring, and protects the church against false teaching and encourages lifelong biblical literacy (Hosea 4)
The Ushering Department provides an ambiance of order, deference, and a warm welcome in all services and events of the church - greeting and directing the congregants, managing the service and seating, receiving offerings, assisting with altar calls, and ensuring that all members and first time visitors are not only taken care of but made to feel welcomed in the house of our God as per (Psalms 84:10)
The Women of Virtue Department is a supportive and enabling community where women are spiritually nurtured, supported, and encouraged to take their God-given purpose, with weekly Bible study and prayer, women conferences, retreats, mentorship programs, outreach to widows and single mothers, and women leadership platforms (Proverbs 31)
The Youth Department - Ministry of Discipleship, Fellowship, and Empowerment equips and empowers young people to live purposefully, grow in faith and lead in the church and society with Bible study, retreats, community outreach, mentoring, career guidance, life skills workshops and ministry through music and drama, as the prophetic declaration of the generation of Chrisco strongly declares: that all youth will be highly educated, highly gifted or both
